Privacy Policy

The short version

LiveTrafficCam has no accounts, sets no cookies of its own, and ships no tracking scripts. Pages are plain HTML. We do not collect, store, or sell personal information. The one third party involved is our page-view counter, described below.

What we do process

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, to serve pages and protect against abuse. We see aggregate request counts, not browsing profiles. Camera images are proxied from the operating agencies; requesting a page fetches those images through our servers, not directly from the agency, so agencies do not see your IP address.

Analytics

We count page views with StatCounter, using its image-pixel method only. A 1×1 image is requested from c.statcounter.com when a page loads. We deliberately do not load StatCounter's JavaScript, which means no script runs in your browser, nothing is stored on your device, and the detailed profiling their script would collect (screen size, browser fingerprint, visit duration, returning-visitor recognition) is not collected at all.

What that image request tells us: which page was viewed, roughly where in the world it was viewed from, and which site linked you here. StatCounter's response sets cookies on its own domain (statcounter.com, not ours) which it uses to tell new visitors from returning ones; blocking third-party cookies breaks nothing on this site. StatCounter processes this as our data processor and receives the IP address making the request, as any web server does. We use it to see which pages people find useful. We do not sell it or combine it with anything else.
